Our USB 3.0 Cutter is designed for different purposes.The first application is the endurance test of USB devices in the industry. Because the disconnection and connecting as when plugging in the USB connector behaves manually, ie it is only the voltage applied and a few milliseconds later, the data lines are turned on, it may for the time test "unit purely, device out, etc" are used. The switching commands are sent via this software to the USB Cutter. It is optimal for duration tests "device on, device off". Another field of application is the service of high-speed USB 3.0 devices. If USB devices have become hung up and you have only the possibility to reconnect the USB channels to awake it by disconnect the device and reconnect it for life, the USB 3.0 Cutter can replace the manual intervention. Is there a problem with the device, it can be reanimated physically via command. No service call is necessary.

The switch in a black plastic housing is about 40 x 90 x 23 mm in size. Left and right there is a USB 3.0 a-port to interrup the USB connection. The delay is configurable up to 100 ms at the factory. The switch may only be operated indoors and must be protected against humidity. The permissible temperature range for operation of the device is between 10 ° and 80 ° Celsius.
 
The maximum you simultaneously can connect 16 devices about hubs to one PC.

For easy access a very simple graphical program called USBswitch controls the switch just by clicking on icons. A special feature is the fact our USB devices do not need to install any drivers. The existing USB drivers are sufficient. This system stability will be maintained.
 

An application program interface (API) to drive the USB-Cutter from customer programs is part of the delivery. The API bundles some very simple functions for opening and reading the device. The complex USB device handling is hided.
